FAQ's
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Tryout days cost £150.00 for a junior and £199.00 for an adult.
Q. What time do we need to arrive?
A. The tryout will start at 11.00am and the day will finish at 4.00pm. You will need to arrive no later then 10.30am to get signed in and kitted out.
Q. What safety gear is provided?
A. We will provide you with Crash Helmet, Goggles, Gloves, Elbow Guards, Knee Guards, Body Armour, MX Shirt, MX Pants and MX Boots.
Q. Do we need to bring anything?
A. All you need to do is turn up we will provide all the safety gear you will need.
Q. Can I use my own kit?
A. Yes your more than welcome to use your own kit for your tryout day as long as it meets the standards required.
Q. What sort of bike will I be using?
A. All the bikes are listed on the tryout pages on this web site (see right) the sizes of the bikes are set according to age but these may vary from person to person.
Q. Can Family and Friends come and watch me?
A. Yes family and Friends are welcome to come and watch we also ask that for a junior their parent or guardian is present all day also.
Q. What facilities do you have?
A. We have a large parking area, large spectator area with bench seating, catering van, clean brick built toilets, retail shop & workshop, 3 Tracks and a large training and tryout area.
Q. What do I do for lunch?
A. The catering van on site sells all the hot and cold food and drink you may need for your day out.
Q. Who will be my coach?
A. You will be tutored by a qualified ACU coach. This is overseen by James who has 20+ years motocross and off road riding experience and has been a qualified ACU coach since retiring from racing in 2008.
Q. What will we do on the tryout day?
A. During your day you will be shown and taught how to ride an off road motorcycle safely and competently learning skills to help you ride in different conditions with other riders on areas designed to give beginners a fun welcome in to off road motorsport.
Q. Can anyone do this?
A. Yes anyone can have a go. If you have no experience or a little experience from many years ago anyone can come and have a tryout day. So boys or girls, men and women between the ages of 5 years old to 70 years old can experience the thrill of motocross.
Q. How do I book in for this?
A. All you need to do is fill out the form provided and email it back to me with your details and preferred dates as well as card details for payment and you will be booked in. To determine the dates please contact either by email, phone or post. If the dates are full I will call or email you back to find a suitable date for you but all days are places are given as first come first serve basis. You can choose to pay in full or pay a deposit and the balance on the day.
Q. What happens if the weather is bad?
A. If the weather is bad and the tryout day cannot go ahead because the condition are deemed unsafe another date will be found that suites you so you tryout will go ahead at some stage and you will not lose your deposit or payment.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. If you need to cancel no refund will be given but another date can be found for you to complete your tryout day on.
